FoxHire stumbled upon some interesting news regarding physical therapists that you may want to check out if you place these professionals in direct or contract positions. According to a recent announcement from The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), graduates of physical therapy programs in Egypt, India, Pakistan, and the Philippines will not be able to take its National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) this year.

This decision is in response to what the FSBPT calls “compelling evidence” pointing to the “systematic and methodical” sharing of exam questions by graduates and several exam preparation companies. Testing for graduates of those countries was suspended effective July 11 pending the development of a new secure exam called NPTE-YRLY that will be created exclusively for those graduates. The NPTE-YRLY is expected to be available in or about the fall of 2011.
